All go at Te Putahitanga

At Te Putahitanga we would like to warmly welcome our new students and staff to the unit.  With an increased number of students we now have three classrooms.  During our first week of kura the students were getting to know each other and learning about the Treaty of Waitangi.

They have done a great job of creating their own class Treaty.  We are now well into our programme.  Currently,  M1, Matua Euan’s class and M2, Whaea Tuckers class are focussing on their goals they wish to achieve by the end of term one and Matua Vinny’s class has been focusing on the school values and reflecting each week on how well they have done to achieve their weekly goal.  We also have the pleasure of Circability joining us two days a week, they will take our students for circus art classes.  RDA (Riding for disabled) started last week, our selected students always look forward to attending.  We have also started our Tech Block: Woodwork, Cooking and Digital classes.   By Olivia Woodroffe.
