Malo ‘etau lava!
On Friday and Saturday 17th and 18th, Mone, Rakardo, and I (Nadia) participated in the Model United Nations Assembly (MUNA). A number of north island schools attended. All schools were designated to a country that is a part of the UN and we were given Tonga. We were asked to give two speeches, each two minutes long, about struggles that were important to our country. We chose climate change and hate speech. Even though we were a bit nervous, it was so much fun!
Our learning is: we can do it, we should be more open to mixing with students from other schools and accept every opportunity that is offered.
Thank you Ms Rowse and Whaea Rina for helping organize the trip and Whaea Catherine for taking us down to Auckland and supporting us. (by Nadia Snyman)
