On Friday 1st February staff and students participated in a Punga Fun. This was a great chance for our new students to be involved in their first Tiki experience which is a display of our school values: Ako, Manaakitanga, Pono, Tikanga, Whanaungatanga.
There was the crowd fav the slippery slide, sack races and of course an oldee but a goodie the Tug-of-war, staff vs students. Under the guidance and expertise of Mr Cassidyy the staff got their winning swing on and beat the students, again and again (just to prove it wasn’t a fluke).
A wonderful afternoon. Special thanks to all those who helped and supported the afternoon. Though this was not an official Punga Challenge, Kowhai were winners.
