Senior Surfing Safari

During this term the physical education department has been working with the level 1 and 2 students from Sport Science and Sport and Recreation on various units to support their NCEA. The activities have varied and range from korfe ball, ultimate frisbee and camping, to surfing at Sandy Bay.

The students spent three days camping at Matapouri and their school day learning to surf with Tutukaka Surf.

The students really pushed themselves and they all learnt a lot about what they are capable off. We even managed to start an inter-school surf competition ‘The Tiki Pro’ that was won by David Gavin. An excellent and beneficial trip for students who have nowachieved 12 credits and had fun.  Bring on 2019!
