Services Academy Getting their steps in before taking on the Adventure Challenge Race…

The Service Academy have been prepping for the adventure challenge race 2020 between the other 13 Northern Region Services Academys. Due to Covid 19 there have been delays and date changes for this event. During term 3, in preparation the Service Academy under took three tramps; Mt Parihaka, Mt Manaia/Aubrey and Mt Lion to Ocean Beach. These tramps also provide credits toward US425 Tramping. Each student challenged themselves by adding extra weight to their packs from 5-10kgs. The journey was tough but the views made up for it.  (Staff Cassidy)
